Every July and August when school-age children are on their summer break, Perry House Child Care Services offers a unique summer program.
The staff plan and implement fun and exciting activities with a summer camp feel.
Trips
The summer program also includes many trips to fun and exciting places like the Toronto Zoo, Canada’s Wonderland, NEB’s Funworld, Sky Zone, Laser Quest Whitby, Putting Edge, and many, many more! The staff and children enjoy many excursions throughout the summer break. The cost of the trips is included in the fees for full-time clients. Clients who are enrolled only for summer care will be responsible for paying trips fees.
Swim Program
Children from junior kindergarten to school age have the opportunity to swim in our very own heated in-ground swimming pool which is located in the backyard of our main building.
Our Swim Program helps each child:
- Develop an appreciation and healthy respect for the water; and,
- Acquire and develop a strong foundation of water skills.
We have two qualified swim instructors who teach using The Lifesaving Society’s ‘Swim for Life’ program. As the children develop their swimming skills they will be graduated into the next swim level. Swim Reports are distributed two times throughout the summer months.
Our pool is inspected by the Durham Region Health Department prior to opening and two times through the summer program to ensure we met all the public pool and water safety regulations.
